Great American Songwriters & their Songs

Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller were only 17 years old when they met. They were a couple of white Jewish kids who wanted to write songs for black artists. Well, that they did… and more, turning out hits for Elvis Presley, Peggy Lee and numerous other performers. They tell their story in the new book, “Hound Dog: The Leiber and Stoller Autobiography,” and they join us for a conversation about their memorable musical partnership.

  • I beleive last Thursday 7/2 you had a guest discussing a book about american History and the events that took place between the noted events such as between Columbus and the Mayflower. I had to leave my car before I heard the author’s name and the book title. Can you please provide me with that information? Thank you.
