As a songwriter, Freedy Johnston was a huge influence. If you like this album, go and check out the stuff he put out a decade ago - amazing. Can you Fly, Never Home, This Perfect World, Blue Days, Black Nights....stellar albums start to finish. I was surprised to see the re-record of Central Station, initially released years ago as a single for a film. Good to see Freedy back in action. I really hope he's happy. He sounds good in this interview. But the last two times I went to see him play, he was not in a good space. Yelling at the crowd, playing 27 minutes at club passim on $25 admission... Great talent. Can he recapture the genius of yesterday?? I truly hope so.

Regarding your show on the new Energy Secretary. When will you present empirical evidence that global warming is actually occuring? Recent scientific releases, and long-term studies all point to a current state of global cooling for the next few years instead of warming.

Meanwhile, there is little documented empirical correllation between CO2 and global temperature; while there is nearly 100 percent correllation between sun activity levels and global temperature.

We are very close to passing mis-guided legislation which will cost trillions of dollars in taxes, with likely little effect on improving our environment.

I am all for cleaning up our environment, but feel that the headlong plunge into CO2 control is only going to result in the enrichment of people with investments in Carbon trading schemes.
