The Federal Reserve is tapping into a depression-era power to buy short term debt from businesses, who have seen their credit dry up. The Fed hopes this will shore up the economy by giving businesses the overnight or weekly credit they need to make payroll or buy supplies. But will it be enough to stop the free fall in world markets? Our guest is Greg Ip of The Economist Magazine.
