IRAQ

The U.S. military has just concluded one of the largest bombing campaigns of the war southeast of Baghdad, dropping 40000 pounds of bombs in one area yesterday. At least 21 militants and nine U.S. soldiers were killed since “Operation Phantom Phoenix” began on Tuesday. We speak with Joshua Partlow, Washington Post correspondent in Baghdad.
