U.S. Raids Against Iran

Over the past three weeks, two sets of raids and newly revealed orders issued by President Bush, have some wondering if the U.S. is opening a new front in the war on terror — against Iran. Administration officials say that effort has a limited goal of preventing Iranians from aiding in attacks on American and Iraqi forces inside Iraq. We’ll talk with Mark Hosenball of Newsweek Magazine about the administration’s agenda.

Washington State Prison Population Study

We talk with Ingrid Binswager, researcher at the University of Colorado in Denver, about her study of the Washington State prison population that shows that after as soon as two weeks after their release prisoners are much more likely to die than their counterparts in the general population.
